Pete and a Mystery - July 31, 2023

 Well,

July is over, and I come home in August, so that's weird!  I'm ready but not ready at the same time.  Here are my updates:

TUESDAY:

We did weekly planning! We also had a lot of lessons since but we did have a really good one with our friend Wendy! We talked about Adam and Eve and why it needed to happen! We shared 2 Nephi 2:23-25 and Wendy was like, it makes sense, interesting way to look at it! 

We also met with Kara, it's been a second because she's been struggling but it went well!

WEDNESDAY:

We finished weekly planning and had our last district council of the transfer! We also talked to someone who other missionaries had found, and we thought she didn't know much about our church. But then in our conversation we started to think she might be a member because she seems to know a lot of the terms.🤔 so we set up another time to meet!

We then drove up to Batavia for exchanges! I taught someone named the whole plan of salvation faster then I ever have before! But he seemed to agree! The rest of the evening we did Finding

THURSDAY:

We had a couple good member lessons with two of their members! And we talked to this guy named Charley about Priesthood authority, he didn't completely agree but said they could come back. We then met with some of our members and wrapped up the day.

FRIDAY:

We did service and learned some Facebook Finding techniques! We also had a good lesson with Jodi! We talked about The Holy Ghost and why it's a gift, and why Baptism allows you to receive it and not just faith, though both are very important! We then read Alma 37 which talked about the importance of the scriptures and why we need them! 
We also had a lesson with someone named Pete! He is someone we have been trying to set something up with since I got here but it's never worked out. Well we just stopped by out of the blue and read The Book of Mormon introduction with him! It was awesome and we were able to set up another time with him!🥳


SATURDAY:
We had decided at the beginning of thus week to go up to one of our further areas, well it decided to start raining very heavily which made it a little bit of a nervewracking drive, but we survived! 

We had stopped by someone else who we had also been trying to set something up with since I got her, and for me when I was here before, and we finally set up a time with her! It was great! 

We then met someone named Shannon! She asked for a pamphlet and said she would look into it, and she sounded genuine so hopefully she actually does, and comes to church!

We then had a great lesson with our on date friend Eric and talked about the baptismal covenant! And how he was going to make it! And it was very spiritual!

SUNDAY:

We met with Richard! He's someone we met a couple weeks ago and we had a really good lesson with him about the premortal life! We talked about how we are here to grow and get a body! And hopefully he understood!?!

We also have a little girl we have started teaching, Tim's daughter. But we haven't been able to meet with them for a couple weeks but we were finally able to! And we had a great lesson with just Genevieve! Her brother was also there and was trying so hard to talk to me so I was talking to him and Genevieve at the same time, and sometimes screamed because he's like 4. My ears were a bit broke during some parts of our lesson🤣, but it was a very good lesson!

And last of all we called someone who I had found a year ago and some sisters had called him. So that was interesting.

All in all, a great week!  Love you all so much!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
