Trees!!!! As well as lots of threes! - September 12, 2022
Hello everyone! I hope y'all are doing so good!
Here we are with Kara
TUESDAY:
So we head over to a friend's lesson and normally there are 3 people there Brian, Katie, Doug plus a three year old. Well this lesson we had no 3 year old and two other adults from the neighborhood joined the lesson instead. And we were able to set up another lesson with one of them as well so that was awesome

FRIDAY:
We did a good amount of of finding and we also had some amazing lessons with members!
SATURDAY:
Miracle time! There was a festival inn a town near Geneseo so being the missionaries we were, we decided to go! And on the way down to the festival there were some people moving trees into a truck so we offered to help and once we finished went on our merry way (important side note, the guys name was James and we helped him and his girlfriend. He had another friend, Ben in the trees whom we had not met at this point). We continued on to the festival and met some great people, even handed out a Book of Mormon!
Then we jumped in our car to head home, when we get a call from a unknown number. So this guy says I have your number and we have a second want to come down? (As missionaries we hand out a lot of pass-a-long cards) so it could have been anyone. So me and my companion head to this person's house slightly confused. Low and behold it was James' friend who had called us, the one in the tree, His name was Ben! So we spent about an hour there answering questions about how missions worked as well as our experiences in the church! We were also able to explain Book of Mormon and prophets. We left them both with a Book of Mormon and are going to call them later this week!
Also the lesson/contact was amazing but during it I was wearing a long skirt. And I felt something on my knee under the skirt. So I tried to grab it and... it was a Bee, there was a bee under my skirt!
, which did sting me. And so I had to sit there let it go and hope it would eventually from under my skirt. Eventually it did but... Word of Wisdom for future generations, Never ever hold a bee especially while with people.

Also we were able to find someone else! He seems very interested and we gave him a pamphlet. He speaks Spanish so any suggestions for quickly learning Spanish?
SUNDAY:
Church was amazing! We got to join YW this week and it was one of the funnest and most chaotic YW sunday classes I had had in awhile.
We also had a lesson with Kara who is always a highlight of my week! She is so sweet and it's to see how much she is truly beginning to understand! And she has mentioned feeling the spirit more as we have lessons!

Love to you All,
Sis Martin
