Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello,

Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too!

TUESDAY:

Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested.

WEDNESDAY:

We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone! 

We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!

We also had a lesson with Jodi which was good! And we talked to someone named William who I had talked to previously and he introduced us to his neighbor, Saud he needed to go ride his bike, then he drove away. And as we were leaving we realized he was still in the parking lot, he had just driven to the opposite side.

And then we stopped by someone else who we have been trying to talk to for awhile and he was available and we were able to just sit and read 3 Nephi 11 with him! And he was like wow, that's awesome! He was definitely feeling the spirit!

THURSDAY:

On Thursday we did a lot of contacts! We stopped by someone who said she wasn't available for the lesson we had scheduled and set up a different time instead!

Called our friend Richard and encouraged him to pray!

We stopped by someone we have been trying to get in contact with for forever! And we were able to have a good conversation and set up a time to come back! 

We also wandered around a sketchy building trying to find someone, whom we never found.

FRIDAY:

We had a great lesson with one of our recent converts! We talked about how he's sharing the gospel and his favorite part of the gospel, which he said was baptism! 

We then called someone who we have been trying to have a lesson with but about mid call we realized he was trying to call us to repentance, and he was saying some interesting things like the question of whether animals are free or in a zoo effects the belief in a higher power, it was interesting!

We also had a lesson our friend Eric and taught him The Word of Wisdom! Which while he was confused on some of the points he took it wonderfully! And was like well I may not understand but I just need to trust him! 

SATURDAY:

We did a festival! It was up in one of our further towns and it was awesome! We invited someone to church and got her number to send the address, and it was a correct number! We handed out two Book of Mormons! 

We also stopped by someone who said he wanted a Book of Mormon! His dad answered and we realized he might be under 18? But we'll see. 

We then stopped by another friend Tammy, for which prayers would be appreciated! She's going through a really hard time but we were able to have a conversation with her! And she showed us her garden which is actually doing really well!

SUNDAY:

We met with our friend Richard and it was awesome! 

We met with Kara! And we met with one of our friends who's a little girl and we taught her faith! We used planting a seed example and brought a seed a jar and some dirt and she was so excited! It was so sweet!
