Horses and Bowling - August 29, 2022

 Hello!

MONDAY:

So each week we have a lesson with this cute member family. And this week we got all set up for a lesson and one of their friends knocked on the door and asked if they could play. And the members invited him to the lesson! We were able to have a great lesson with the members and their friend it was awesome!

WEDNESDAY:
We met the cutest girl named Kara today. She is so sweet and so excited to come closer to Christ! She also brought her friend with her. We were able to have a great lesson and give Kara a Book of Mormon.

We were knocking this one road and we had passed this house but it kept nagging at me. So eventually we went back and we were able to explain part of the restoration and give him a Book if Mormon! It was such a testament to me of how God is in the details and how the spirit will direct us if we are listening!

THURSDAY:
We were able to have a great lesson with someone! Sadly they are in another missionaries area so we had to refer him, but hopefully he does well.

FRIDAY:
Each week we meet with a less active member and we have heard a lot about her grandkids but we were never able to meet them. Well we were finally able to meet her grandkids! We had a great lesson focused mainly on prayer and the first vision. They were very engaged and it was a lot of fun.

Okay so we had this person who hadn't been visited in awhile but when we got to his house there were two ropes across the driveway to hold horses in. So after some discussion and tests to make sure it wasn't electric me and my companion  went in between the rope and up to the Slightly abandoned looking house. We knocked, a man opened the door. His name was Justin and he was interested! Apparently some missionaries had promised him a Book of Mormon in the past but had never brought him one and we were able to!

SATURDAY:
The YW had a yard sale for their next year of camp and we got to help! It was a lot of fun and the YW definitely enjoyed it. There were also a lot of bees which wasn't as fun.

MONDAY: I wrote this. We also had a p-day today where our district got together and did bowling. It was a lot of fun, I got destroyed though.๐Ÿ˜…

In the different towns they also have some huge murals.. here are some pictures of the ones we could get.

Love,
Sister Martin
