Festival - July 10, 2023

 Hello Friends and Family!

TUESDAY:

We had a good meeting with Jodi! We were able to explain why we believe so much in The Book of Mormon, judging by how many books are out there, why this one! We talked about the pure truth that is in it and how it was written! We also talked about how it shows how much we need Jesus Christ and why we need Jesus Christ.
We then stopped someone who I had met once last summer but afterwards we were never able to get in contact with her. We'll she was outside and remembered missionaries stopping by before! We were able to set up a time to come back! 

We also saw some fireworks, they were some of those ground ones that send a stream of light and poppers into the air, we also got a little bit trapped by them.

And then we had a lesson with Diana and it was very interesting, we could still barely understand her and neither could our member, but we sent her The Book of Mormon!

WEDNESDAY:

We met with Brother Wilkinson, he is an older member in a nursing home. And this time his friend was there, and it was very interesting because we had to talk pretty loud for her to hear and we weren't sure how much was registering, she is also above 90 years old so that was fun.

That afternoon we were also walking along in some apartments and we found Tyler and we gave him a Book of Mormon!

THURSDAY:

We went Finding! We stopped by this house where first there was a dog who was hidden underneath a truck until we were almost at the door then he came our and we got to pet him! He was very sweet! And then the house owner Patty accepted some pamphlets and gave us some water!

We also met with Wendy! She brought one of her friends along and he also pulled it off topic, but a bit less. We discussed prophets and she told her friend a condensed version of Joseph Smiths first vision because she really connected to his search for truth!

We also stopped someone who I talked to in Wellsville and then had to refer here! Who then followed, which us the second time that has happened! Amanda she remembered me! Though she called me by the first name of my previous companion and I ?  Agreed.😅 Why not?

FRIDAY:

Well we had knocked on this one house and kept on hearing come in, which we didn't because it would have been weird and usually when people say that they don't realize we're missionaries. But eventually we did open the door and they were this sweet older couple. They weren't really interested but were very open to talking and showed us some of their artwork!

We then got to meet with Bryan again! And he went everywhere. He was asking why the world was the way it was and why there wasn't more good. We pointed it to choice and The Book of Mormon. And then he asked a similar question😅

SATURDAY:

Ok, so Tonja that I mentioned earlier, she has a daughter and granddaughter with her, and so last time we had just talked to Tonja and set up a time, we'll Tonja decided to go shopping so instead we talked to her daughter Jory who was also interested so we got her number as well! Please pray that all works out!

And then we had a festival which we walked around in for two straight hours, and then a third one later, but. We met someone named Tammy who accepted a Book of Mormon and we set up a time to come back, we handed a Book of Mormon to someone running a window booth and we handed out 1 more, so it was very good! 

And then we had a lesson with our friend Eric and recent Convert Kara and those both went well!


SUNDAY:

We had church which was fun! We then decided to go visit some people and set up a lesson with someone I found a year ago!

We also met this lady who was so nice! She had had missionaries from a church, not sure if it was ours, come by a bit ago and she remembered! And so she let us in and we were able to introduce The Book of Mormon! It was awesome!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
