Hola! - June 19, 2023

 Hello everyone! Hola from New York!  (I'm still slowly learning Spanish)

MONDAY:
Well we had stopped by someone and his friend said he wasn't home but liked our smiles. And we were calling through people and we called this person named Steve. Hedidn't answer but then he called us back and was talking about his church and how much he enjoyed it, but then was like but I still want to explore your church. So we made sure he knew where it was and encouraged him to read his Book of Mormon!

TUESDAY:
We had service! Then we stopped by someone named Dave! He was someone we had talked to before and we fell out of contact, but then we got back in contact which was awesome! And we talked to some people which was fun! 

WEDNESDAY:
We had decided to call a person who had been actually been suggested by some other missionaries and we have been trying to get something set up for weeks, and we finally did! We shared a verse from The Book of Mormon and loved it! We also met with our recent convert Mike and it was really good! And he was very talkative! We also got to join Young Men's and they were doing tin foil dinners so we got to be around fire!🔥😃 

THURSDAY:
We had exchanges which was awesome! We had a couple lessons with one of their recent converts and one of them was someone from another country so his accent was really hard to decipher he had some good questions though! And we then had a lesson with another one and she was this cute older black woman. I forgot my Book of Mormon and so we just sat and listened basically, and then she gave us some cake which was fun!

SATURDAY:
We went and explored a pottery festival! Which was fun! There were some very cool things there! We also had a church tour all set up but then they didn't show up, but we had a great conversation with one of our members! And then we went to a strawberry social, which was our yearly ward activity! Which was awesome! 

SUNDAY:
We went to church and it was fun! We had an awesome lesson with Suzalyn! And we talked about repentance! And we had a good lesson with Kara, and sunny bean her kitten is just so cute! I'll have to take a picture for next week! 

Well I know it was a bit short this week but I hope y'all have the best week, love y'all!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
