Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,

                                            Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies.

MONDAY:

We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!

 And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good!

TUESDAY:

So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across!

But we had an awesome lesson about The Prophet and The Priesthood with our recent convert Bryan which was amazing! 

We talked with someone I was talking to on Facebook, it was interesting because we could barely hear her, and then she called in her boyfriend for permission to do a Bible study with us, then we set it up though because she couldn't hear us scheduling was hard. But she was so sweet! And we are very excited to do a Bible study with her, hopefully we can hear her! 

WEDNESDAY:

Well we had our first normal district council of the transfer which was fun!

We also had another awesome lesson with Chris and our recent convert Logan, we covered like 5 topics so it was good! 

And we had youth night! We did plays and I tried to teach the young women freeze, it did not work because no one willingly said freeze so that was interesting.

THURSDAY:

Well we stopped a person who the elders have asked us to reach out to because she's in our area, her name is Embrey. And she was so sweet! She talked to us about her faith and a lot of her struggles and she then prayed with us. And she accepted a Book of Mormon and a interest in church! Which was amazing! 

After Embrey we had a lesson with our recent convert Bryan and a lot of finding.

Also it was June 1st!

FRIDAY:

We had service which is always fun! 

We also visited some who had been previously talked to by missionaries. (Some of them from my 1st time here) which was good, one of them said he might reach out to us! 

And then that evening.... drumroll please... we put Chris on date! We asked him and he was like sure that's something I want! Go Chris! his current date is in July!

Also we talked to this nice guy Jeff! He talked for an hour straight.  Then I stepped in dog poop (because he has two cute dogs) but in the middle of the conversation he mentioned how he wanted to be baptized and I told him we helped people towards baptism and he was like maybe but why do I have to do lessons. And we tried to explain why but we are not totally sure he understood.

SATURDAY:

We went to one of the first fairs/festival/craft shows (I'm not totally sure which one it was) of the season. Which was really good! We handed out a few Book of Mormons! Including to a lady who may hopefully come church sometime. 

So as missionaries we plan our days by choosing streets to be at and I had chosen the streets but then couldn't find them on the map. So we had to choose a random street. So we chose this street, and as we walked along there was a guy who was mowing his lawn. He stopped and had a really good conversation with us. We gave him a Book of Mormon!

SUNDAY:

We had Chris come church! Which was awesome because he had been considering not coming but he made the effort and he was there! 

We met with Kara again after a bit and it was good! 

And then we were going to street to do some finding and we saw a mom and her daughter and they said they said had been looking for a church in the area because her daughter had wanted to come to church and we were like our church is like 5 minutes up the street and we have classes for kids available and she was like really! Maybe we'll come! So pray that they will!
