And Back Again - May 8

Hello All,

                                                                            My District

MONDAY:

Well Monday went great! And in the evening we had the coolest contact! We had knocked this person's house and a man answered and we offered a message and he said no so we moved on. And then we were coming back down the street and at the same house met the man's significant other. And she was so excited to see us! She had met with elders in the past but then had moved so lost contact. But we found her! And she is setting up lessons and will hopefully come to church soon! 

TUESDAY:

We went on another exchange! Which was fun we played pickle ball, said a prayer with someone! And called in the car and set up two return calls! 

WEDNESDAY:

We had a great lesson about Adam and Eve with Addison! She was so cute and used the pieces we pulled to create a mini family. We also had a lesson with our friend Marlene we went over everything up to the saviors Earthly ministry! And she agreed and read in the chapter we assigned! And then we played minute to win it games at young womens!

THURSDAY:

We did service! And while doing service there were some touring the building and along one wall in the room we work there is these clear glass windows. So while these people are touring some of them are staring through the windows watching us work. So the pressure was on!🥴 but service was fun! 

FRIDAY:

Well we talked to a really nice lady, she wasn't interested but had apparently never seen sisters before, she had seen elders, just not sisters. So we were a novelty.

We also called someone named Steven! We had called a bit and he said to call back. So when we called back we taught him about The Book of Mormon, and set up a time to meet in person with him! 

We also had a great lesson with a new friend Weiona! And she actually kept us on a timer, about 15 minutes into our lesson she was like, Ok y'all don't have much longer. (This is not an exact quote) so wrapped up our lesson which was really good! And said quick goodbye. Though being kept on a timer by our friend was a strange experience.🤔

SATURDAY:

We talked with someone named Jill and she was nice. She was saying how she didn't feel like the religious leaders she listened to had talked about today's world, so we pointed her to our living prophet and sent her a talk!

SUNDAY:

We had a really awesome conversation with a woman named Tami! She was so sweet she had heard of The Book of Mormon but couldn't read a physical copy. But when we offered on online version she seemed excited! So hopefully she reads it! 

We also visited someone else we had given a Book of Mormon to a bit ago and he had read it! He said he found it interesting and that we could come back! We also told a returning member about baptisms for the dead and the member, Cody, was like, what??? You can do that? And we were like yes, that is why we do family history. And we shared verses from The Bible and he wad just amazed! 

MONDAY:

We got transfer news. So I spent from transfers 2-5 in a place called Geneseo which was fun! And then for the next 4 transfers I moved to two different areas. And normally you don't ho back to an area as a Sister missionary but I am going back to Geneseo!!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
