Warm Weather and Trailer Parks - April 17, 2023

Greetings,

We had an eventful week.




 TUESDAY:

We played pickle ball and we were able to meet two more of our friends members!  We also had an awesome lesson with our friend Lisa!


WEDNESDAY:
We had a good lesson with a inactive member. We were discussing the church and there were some sweet experiences shared that made multiple people cry. Then we met with Cody and we were able to talk to him about friends he could share the gospel with! 

Then we called someone we had given a Book of Mormon to awhile back and without us asking he said he wanted to talk more about it so we set up a time!

We also met this lady named Diana who showed us her whole flowerbed! And then said she had been looking for a church for 11 years and somehow hadn't found one. So we offered our church and she said she would come to church! And we gave her a Book of Mormon and got contact information!

THURSDAY:
We had a lesson with one of our newer friends and we jumped to so many topics! We started out with the premortal life, then the restoration, then a bit of The Atonement and we eventually gave her a pamphlet and left without fully teaching any of them because we needed to go. 

We also had a meal with some of our members! We had hotdogs outside on their picnic tables and it was very good and the warmth felt so nice! Later during a lesson with our friend Lisa she went on a 30 minute rant about how animals are not being treated right.🤣😅 but it was a good lesson once we got to that part of it!

FRIDAY:
Exchanges! I went on exchanges with Sister Foster this week! We had a lesson with our friend Dawn which was good. 

We were also walking along and met someone while they were working on water and he said he was busy then but would hear a message later so we got most of his contact information! We also saw a beautiful sunset and got Wendy's.

SATURDAY:
Well we had a good lesson with one of our members, and they showed us around their fancy car which they call the bus! They travel all around in it!  I want one!

We then had a lesson with a recent convert Matthew and we sat at a white table outside on one of the brightest days we've had yet in mid-afternoon so we both got blinded and could not fully open our eyes most of the lesson. 

We made a friend! Thomas! His contact was interesting! He had a lot of deep questions and apparently his girlfriend knew about us?? But we gave him a Book of Mormon and he said he would look it up! 

We also had an amazing lesson with Lisa! We had her date on May 6th but we had to have a lesson with Bishop first. They connected really well and were joking throughout the lesson and connected so well! And our bishop moved her date up and agreed to baptize her and she is so excited!

SUNDAY:
Lisa came to church!!! We had a lesson with one of our members which was good. She knows someone who she could share the gospel with! 

And we taught Addison again! This time we played with chalk while trying to teach her and it worked! Though it was very sunny so the ground was very fun! And we had a member meal with our bishop and his daughter is going to invite a friend to youth night or sacrament! 

Our friend Victor responded! It's been awhile since he has and we scheduled a time! And then to top it all off we got kicked out of a trailer park! That was interesting.  We didn't see the sign going in.  But we had some good conversations first. 

And HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my sister BRIELLE!!

I have seen that God will truly guide as and others as we turn to Him and he will truly help each of us!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
