April 3, 2023 - Conference!

 Hello All!  Hope you've all had a great week! I loved conference!


TUESDAY:

We met with some inactive members! So we were able to talk to the grandma which was awesome! And gave her granddaughter (who she wants us to teach) a Book of Mormon and she read the first verse and understood it generally!! So that was awesome! And the funny thing about this was The Sister before me had texted her in January and then she texted us back last week and was like, I just saw this would this day work to come over! So a very delayed response but it came eventually!

WEDNESDAY:
So we have been meeting/trying to meet with this inactive member for the whole time I've been here. And while we have our lessons we crochet, because she taught us how, and she has lots of yarn! But we were sitting in this lesson and while we are trying to teach a lesson I'm also fighting with this yarn to try to get it to work as I am now on my second row. So that was interesting!

We also met a cute dog! And we had stopped someone's house who we had talked to before, their son said come back in half an hour so we did and their daughter said they just left. So that was an exciting night!😅

THURSDAY:
We met with Sister Graham and this week she offered us muffins.  She is very very sweet! It was a good discussion!
We had some good findings, and a rather chaotic lesson with Lisa and one of our members but it ended great!

FRIDAY:
We had a good discussion about baptism with one of our friends!  
We met with one of our other friends Cynthia and she's been studying the talks from the prophet and is doing great! She said she would try her best to watch General Conference!

SATURDAY:
Well we had an awesome church tour with two of our friends!  They loved while we showed them the church and even got a blessing afterwards! Which was so amazing! She loved it and seemed to feel spirit throughout the tour and her blessing! And then we had General Conference which we spent at the church with one of our members our friend and the elders! And our friend loved it! 

We then met this cool guy named Roger and his neighbor who listened to part of our message and they were amazed that Christ appeared in ancient America! And apparently Roger's friend has a Book of Mormon! Sadly we weren't able to talk for long but we got his address!

We then spent the second session with our recent convert Sandi which was so much fun! 
And then we met a part member/non-active family which was so good! We talked about the premortal life and how that gave us strength! 

SUNDAY:
We were able to watch conference with one of our other friends, Dawn! And then another member! And we also gave Lisa a living Christ and she loved it! She was so excited to read it! 

And we had a great lesson with Victor about The Saviors Earthly Ministry and The Great Apostasy! And then we were able to teach a returning member about the council/war in heaven! And we read 3 Nephi 11 with a member! So it was a good day!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
