Hailstorm and Exchanges - Feb 27, 2023

I just want you to know I really appreciate all your support and prayers for me.  

TUESDAY: 

We heart attacked one of our members! Which was amazing! And we had something called miracle night. Where all the missionaries jump on a call and share miracles that have been happening around the mission, I absolutely love!

WEDNESDAY:
So we went on a mini, 1-day exchange and I went to Owego. And while it was, awesome we had some interesting door approaches. In one they had a dog up front who would not stop barking, and because he was in their front yard we couldn't approach the door. So I yelled over the dogs loud barking and they said we could come back the next afternoon, so I beat a dog in noise, I think?🤷‍♀️.

And in another house a very young child answered the door and invited us in but there were no adults in sight so we said we'd come back to that one as well. 

But we were able to talk to this really nice lady and we gave her a Book of Mormon and she Said we could come back!! 

THURSDAY:
Well we met with a new friend we made, her name was Cynthia. And she is amazing! She had already started reading from the beginning (I think at least) and it was all making sense. Apparently she had also been sending verses to her brother which was also so amazing! We explained Joseph Smith and The Restoration and she seemed to enjoy it! So we are very excited, now we just need to invite her to church!

FRIDAY:
Well we had a great lesson with Dawn where we reviewed why we needed Jesus Christ! The spirit was so strong! We had a good lesson with one of our members on Moroni 10 and we talked a little bit about good gifts.

SATURDAY:
We had a conversation with one of our members and she is so strong! She told us how she was sharing the gospel and trying to go to the temple more often. So that was really fun! We also had a member call us from Maryland for help in taking care of some property in our area, so that was exciting!  We are always looking for good service. 

SUNDAY:
A cool thing happened!  One of my friends from Geneseo, Kara, who I worked with for months, got baptized!  She had a lot of questions, and was afraid of water, so we worked with her through a lot.  The sisters there now have continued to teach her, and she finally decided that making a covenant with Heavenly Father was what she wanted most!  And she did it!  This whole story makes me so happy!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
