Transfers! February 20, 2023

Hope you've all had a good week!

Mine was busy!  We had to clean out our apartment because they are shifting mission boundaries, and this town, and apartment, will now be a part of the Pittsburgh, PA mission.  It was a big job, because several sister missionaries have left clothing here, because they went home from here. (AKA died). Anyway, I was so tired this week that I had a a hard time staying awake in church with a couple of our friends.  Oops!

TUESDAY:

Well Tuesday was my last day in Wellsville. 🥲 Always a bitter sweet feeling to move from one place, where I've grown to love the ward, the people and my companion, and move to another, where there's a feeling of excitement and newness.

WEDNESDAY:
We had car problems and as a result my comp and I drove to zone conference separately, which is fine as long as we follow the "stay in sight and sound rule." So I'm going along following my companion while maps is up and then we decided to call our recent convert, Casey one last time. As we were talking, I took a wrong turn, lost my companion, and then missed an exit later on while on a call with my companion😱😂, It apparently just was not my day to drive! But we both arrived at the building, though we were like 45 minutes late!😅

We found our new companions and left, separate directions. Since our old area, Wellsville, is no longer in our mission, we both moved to different areas.  I'm now in Elmyra, NY!  It's a town bigger than Salem, but smaller than Spanish Fork.  Much bigger than my last town! I got to go to Young Woman's for the first time in forever! Because Wellsville had no youth. And we met with one of our friends Lisa who is so sweet! She is very much a talker!

THURSDAY:
We got to do service which was awesome! We labeled cans! And we had stopped at this doorstep and a woman answered and when we asked to share a verse she said no. But then her little daughter came out and was like, I want to hear a verse! So they both listened to a verse! And then the lady thanked us because she had been having a hard day and accepted a Book of Mormon. Sadly we were not able to set up lessons but she now has a Book of Mormon!

FRIDAY:
We had a great lesson with our other progressing friend Dawn! And a returning member Brother Carmen. As well as another returning Member Brother Bower.

SATURDAY:
We had a funeral, which was very sad but the talks and music were amazing. And we got to help set up and it was a good experience. And then we went to visit this very sweet member and had a good discussion with her.

Sunday:
Was so good! Church was amazing and we had two friends at church! Dawn and Lisa and they said they loved it! I loved it too, even though I was so tired!  Prayers to get them there every week or almost every week would be appreciated.

We also had a great discussion with a lady, Mary Ann and towards the end she was like, do you have any pamphlets, so we were able to give her a pamphlet!
