Flashbacks - Jan 9, 2023

 Hellooo Family and Friends,

It's been a great week and one with changes!

TUESDAY:

We went over to one of our returning members houses, Sister Baker. The lesson was supposed to be a 1/2 hour at the longest, but it turned into a very long lesson. We watched a really good talk called return and receive though. We also went to one of our part member families which was amazing! 

WEDNESDAY: 

We had Transfers! And I am not switching areas but I got a new companion, Sister Ragozzine! Who is the sweetest! We were actually in the MTC together, in the same district though not companions, it has been so fun!  I will miss Sister Etherington!  She finished her mission and went home.

THURSDAY: 

We met with one of our friends at Dunkin Doughnuts and had a pretty good lesson with her. We also had something cancel that evening and we were about to go knocking but then we saw this lady across the street and we wanted to go talk to her. And it turned into a really good conversation! We discussed Alma 7 and gave her a Book of Mormon and Plan of Salvation pamphlet! 

FRIDAY:

So on the mission we have something called one-on-one's where a Sister or two in a leadership position (a Sister training leader) call and just make sure we are doing alright. We'll as we were ending our call with one of them, the  Zone leaders, who are in charge of a specific amount of areas, called us and then the other Sister Training leader called at almost the same time, so we kept on playing phone tag with them because they kept calling at the same time, it was interesting and just something funny that happened.

SATURDAY:

So in the beginning, of my mission I was in Bennington, VT, and there was a man named Jeff Fortier that we taught. Unfortunately we had to stop teaching. Well it seems my new companion Sister Ragozzine has been in contact with Jeff for a while so we had a facebook lesson tonight. It was so weird to see someone I used to teach/know.  And we will probably need to stop teaching again due to certain circumstances, so I'm doing it twice from two different area's. There have been definite flashbacks.

SUNDAY:

We had a very small congregation, only 15 people! But we introduced my new companion, and she led the music, I played, and we ran the Zoom!

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good! Horses and Bowling - August 29, 2022

 Hello! MONDAY: So each week we have a lesson with this cute member family. And this week we got all set up for a lesson and one of their friends knocked on the door and asked if they could play. And the members invited him to the lesson! We were able to have a great lesson with the members and their friend it was awesome! WEDNESDAY: We met the cutest girl named Kara today. She is so sweet and so excited to come closer to Christ! She also brought her friend with her. We were able to have a great lesson and give Kara a Book of Mormon. We were knocking this one road and we had passed this house but it kept nagging at me. So eventually we went back and we were able to explain part of the restoration and give him a Book if Mormon! It was such a testament to me of how God is in the details and how the spirit will direct us if we are listening! THURSDAY: We were able to have a great lesson with someone! Trees!!!! As well as lots of threes! - September 12, 2022

  Hello everyone! I hope y'all are doing so good!  Here we are with Kara TUESDAY: So we head over to a friend's lesson and normally there are 3 people there Brian, Katie, Doug plus a three year old. Well this lesson we had no 3 year old and two other adults from the neighborhood joined the lesson instead. And we were able to set up another lesson with one of them as well so that was awesome FRIDAY: We did a good amount of of finding and we also had some amazing lessons with members!  SATURDAY: Miracle time! There was a festival inn a town near Geneseo so being the missionaries we were, we decided to go! And on the way down to the festival there were some people moving trees into a truck so we offered to help and once we finished went on our merry way (important side note, the guys name was James and we helped him and his girlfriend.
