Fire Escape Surprise - November 21, 2022

Hello this week! 


TUESDAY:

So we had this awesome lessons with a part-member family. Where we went outside in our first snow and had them roleplay Book of Mormon stories. It was really fun! We used the children's Book but... it didn't have the whole story. So I had to make it up while making it kid-friendly. So the story was made and the story line was followed though Laban didn't die just slept. 

WEDNESDAY:
We had one of our friends to YW! Her name is Juliette! And at first she was a little bit separate not really involved. But as the night went on she got more involved and really started enjoying it! We also played volleyball and with some encouragement she joined and loved that as well! And she seems to want to come back!

THURSDAY:
So we were sitting in our car almost ready to start on something and I happen to look into the car next to me and... a friend we had a hard time keeping in contact with, Trish! So we jumped out of the car and walked around the store with her, while talking. And we got to talk to one of the workers and get her number so that was awesome!

FRIDAY:
Our friends are awesome! So we have our friend Kara and she has faced so much anti. And since she is so innocent, she has accepted much of it and we've had to work her through a lot. Which isn't bad but we wanted to help her do that on her own. So we were working on helping her pray, apply the truths she was learning etc... And I was unsure how much of a difference it was making. But apparently somebody had tried to tell her some anti on Wednesday and she had said,  "No I have learned this truth about The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints so I know it is not true!"  And we were like, go Kara! 

Also we had another awesome lesson with a part-member family and we used a homage board game to represent our life on earth and choice. And we never quite finished but it was so funny because the little girl put her finger from about the middle of the game to the end and said something to the effect of " and all of us are Slowly dying" which was very entertaining.

SATURDAY:
We made a music video which was really fun. And talked to lots of people!

MONDAY:
So to help me be more prepared for winter we sprayed my boots to make them more waterproof. To do so I had to jump out a window onto this little platform that was meant for emergencies climbed back in through the window and my boots are now sprayed. (There was a railing) Sadly forgot pictures of the game so sorry, maybe next week! Also I am getting transferred and get a new companion! Sister Etherington!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
