Back Flops and Baptisms - October 10, 2022

 Hello everyone!




WEDNESDAY:

Well we handed a few Book of Mormons which was really good because that's been hard recently. We also had an amazing lesson with Kara! We really helped her understand the church and how our leadership positions work!

Thursday:
We started exchanges! 2 other sisters came over and we split and conquered our area. (If that makes any sense😅) so with me and my exchange companion Sister Bullard we were able to meet multiple people and set up return appointments and one wanted to come to church!  And then I get back and realize...  drumroll please! My companion and her exchange companion had put two of our friends on date! And I will include a video of a mission tradition we started; to celebrate.
Also Thursday evening I attempted to do a back bend, something I used to do often, too fast and... instead of my hands finding the floor I basically just fell flat on my back, making an audible thud according to my companions. But I'm all good now!😃

FRIDAY:
Was awesome! We had a great training in the morning! And the we had a great lesson with some members! We made lots of plans to reach out to some less active and part-member families! And then we had an awesome lesson with one of our friends. We talked all about how Christ turned to the scriptures and you could see him connecting the dots in his mind, it was awesome!

SATURDAY:
We had Stake Conference which was amazing! And one of our members gave our friend and us a ride and it was amazing! Our friend really enjoyed it and she had a lot of questions on the way home!

SUNDAY:
We also had Stake Conference and we had another friend there, which was amazing! She seemed to really enjoy it and was taking a lot of notes! Then we had like a meal afterwards so we got to introduce her to a lot of people which was really good.

MONDAY:
We went on a beautiful hike, pictures are below.

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good! Horses and Bowling - August 29, 2022

 Hello! MONDAY: So each week we have a lesson with this cute member family. And this week we got all set up for a lesson and one of their friends knocked on the door and asked if they could play. And the members invited him to the lesson! We were able to have a great lesson with the members and their friend it was awesome! WEDNESDAY: We met the cutest girl named Kara today. She is so sweet and so excited to come closer to Christ! She also brought her friend with her. We were able to have a great lesson and give Kara a Book of Mormon. We were knocking this one road and we had passed this house but it kept nagging at me. So eventually we went back and we were able to explain part of the restoration and give him a Book if Mormon! It was such a testament to me of how God is in the details and how the spirit will direct us if we are listening! THURSDAY: We were able to have a great lesson with someone! Trees!!!! As well as lots of threes! - September 12, 2022

  Hello everyone! I hope y'all are doing so good!  Here we are with Kara TUESDAY: So we head over to a friend's lesson and normally there are 3 people there Brian, Katie, Doug plus a three year old. Well this lesson we had no 3 year old and two other adults from the neighborhood joined the lesson instead. And we were able to set up another lesson with one of them as well so that was awesome FRIDAY: We did a good amount of of finding and we also had some amazing lessons with members!  SATURDAY: Miracle time! There was a festival inn a town near Geneseo so being the missionaries we were, we decided to go! And on the way down to the festival there were some people moving trees into a truck so we offered to help and once we finished went on our merry way (important side note, the guys name was James and we helped him and his girlfriend.
