Walmart and invitations, Sep 26, 2022

 Hi Family and Friends,





TUESDAY: Here's where Walmart comes in! We had decided to do something called Walmart Finding, where we go into a Walmart parking lot and talk and serve people while trying to spread the gospel. WE are some of those Walmart People!  It was interesting we had a lot of good conversations and met a inactive member!


WEDNESDAY: We had planned a lesson with one of our friends and then invited a member. That evening we were planning on inviting our friend Jake to church. So we had a great visit and it was going really well and then our member invited Jake to church! It was awesome! And Jake wants to come which is even better!

Also we were able to join YW and it was a lot of fun. The leaders and some other girls brought random ingredients and somehow we made (probably I did not see the end result) 4 things, peach cobbler, cookies, breaded cheese and cake. Sadly I only have a picture of the breaded cheese but it was a lot of fun.

THURSDAY: We had Zone Conference, which is a big meeting where many missionaries gather. And we were able to go to the Peter Whitmer farm where the church officials started! It was so cool!😁 we talked a whole lot about why the Book of Mormon is so so important to help us know of spiritual truths. Also in the chapel/visitors center there is a time capsule placed by President Kimball (I think he was the right prophet) to be opened in 2030. I wonder what's inside.🤔🧐 

SUNDAY:
Church was amazing as always. And we had a friend show up! His name is Kenny. One day last week he decided he would come, and keep coming! 

We also had a great lesson about Abish with some of our members. 

We also had a great lesson with our friend Kara. Who is amazing! She has faced so much opposition since she started meeting with us and has been told by some sad lies. But she's still going strong! She loves meeting with us, is still trying to share the gospel, and wants to come to conference with a member! I am so excited to see her keep growing! I would also appreciate prayers in her direction for her work schedule shifting/changing so she can come to church!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
