A Dinner of Success - Sep 5, 2022

 Hello everyone!


My new companion Sister Merrill!

TUESDAY: 
We had a great lesson with one of our members! We also were able to meet a lot of people while we walked along the street.

WEDNESDAY: 
We were able to meet with Kara and her friend Rebekah and do a church tour! Kara said she wants to come to church and would try her best to get work off! It was amazing! We had Transfers.  I'm staying in Geneseo, and I got a new companion Sister Merrill! She is so sweet!

THURSDAY: 
We were able to have dinner with the cutest lady, her name is Annette. We were able to teach her most of the restoration and she was so excited! She had been taught before buy you could just see her connecting the dots between the Book of Mormon and Bible and how Joseph Smith brought the church back, it was the coolest thing to see! And apparently she has family who has questions as well! She said that she would be willing to work towards baptism!🥳 Sadly she is moving to a different town soon but we get to teach her in the meantime!

SATURDAY: 
We had the best lesson with a friend and a member. Our members conversion story matched what his search for truth has been and he loved it. We helped him realize how to understand truth and accept and read a Book of Mormon! He seems very interested and I am really excited for him!

SUNDAY: 
Earlier in the week we had invited one of our members to invite her friend to church and she did! And it was fast and testimony meeting! So when we asked the member how her friend, Alicia liked it, she said her friend started crying and really enjoyed church! It was so cool to see!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
