Onundayo? - July 25, 2022
Hi All,
A picture of me and my companion and the sunset.
Title explanation: in our area we have a town called Nunday. We had gone to visit some inactive members in Nunday and they said the Indian name for it was Onundayo! (I'm sure I didn't spell it right but that's how it sounds) which means the hill before the hills! (If I remember correctly).
TUESDAY:
So we had just baptized a 17 year old young man and we started having the after baptism lessons with him! Part way through he said something like: (paraphrasing here) "yeah I won't be able to go to a concert for two years. Immediately we hit pause on the lesson and said: "you're going on a mission?!" He said yes!!!! So we talked missions for the rest of the lesson, it was awesome!!!
We put someone on Date! So our friend Lori has been taught on and off for the last 4 YEARS. And the missionary who found her, Karissa, had gone home but still kept in contact with Lori and joined most of our lessons from Utah. Lori did not like the restoration, loved the Bible and President Nelson though. Until she went and visited the church sites in Salt Lake city. When she came back we started talking and got on the topic of Baptism. And Lori told us she wanted to be baptized in two weeks when Karissa comes!

WEDNESDAY:
We had a great lesson with one of our members!
We also got to go to Y/W and get to know them better which was amazing! And we even got to play Telestrations with them! (For those who have not heard of Telestrations I highly suggest it)
THURSDAY:
We had gone up to this sweet lady's house for a first lesson. It was a great lesson and we got to know her! And at the end of lessons we ask if people need any help and normally they say something like: We are all good. And then we say bye and leave. Well this time when we asked she said yes!! So we moved a wide table through some narrow doorways for her. I loved the service, it was a bit stressful though.
FRIDAY:
We have been unable to get in contact with one of our friends Elizabeth. We stopped by her house and ... we got in contact and got her contact info! We talked about baptism and church and she said she still wanted both!
SUNDAY:
We had church which is always good. And we had multiple friends which is amazing!!

It's so amazing to see the light the gospel brings into people's life's! And I am so grateful we all get the chance to share his light whether through our example or as a full-time missionary!
Love you all and the amazing examples you have been to me throughout the years!
Thank you

Sister Martin
