June 6, 2022 - Llama

 



TUESDAY:

We knocked some doors! We also got a new car!


WEDNESDAY:
One of our members is deaf. So we had a lesson and I only got like 1/3 of it. I am trying to learn sign language! 
We also had a funny call with one of our friends give a prayer in our call. She was so sweet! She prayed for me because I need some special help apparently, she also keeps calling me Sister Marian. 😂☺️

THURSDAY:
We have been able to start teaching a family! So the two older kids are interested but the younger two haven't been interested in learning more. This week one of the younger kids said he was interested! Which was awesome. We also saw a Llama! So we were driving home from a lesson after a Llama had escaped from this tiny Llama farm. And the owners had caught it and were taking it back to the farm so we got a picture. The Llama is definitely posing. 🤣 And it makes it look like we're in a jungle.

FRIDAY:
Exchanges! I was able to go on a exchange to Latham which was awesome! And on the way we went the wrong way then maps took the wrong way. We ended up taking a 30sh minute detour. 😱
Luckily there we didn't miss any lessons.

SATURDAY:
We exchanged back.  While I was backing my companion two large dogs came to the edge of their property and started barking. While I didn't get close enough to touch them I couldn't tell if they would have bitten me or licked me.

SUNDAY:
As missionaries, one of the things we do is call through specific groups of people. While we were doing so today we called someone and soon as they heard who we were they groaned and hung up. 
We also got to do a member meal with one of our friends which was soo fun.

MONDAY: Transfer news! Both my companion and I are leaving! Bennington is gonna become a Elders area. We are going to Rochester, not together though. I am going to Geneseo Rochester. the place that gets the most snow.🥶 But maybe I'll leave before the snow. 🤔

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
