June 20, 2022 - The Wizard of Oz

 Hello Everyone,

TUESDAY:

We did service! Which was so much fun. Then we knocked doors and had lessons. 

WEDNESDAY:

So as missionaries we get referrals, or people who want to hear about the gospel. This one lady named Elizabeth referred herself. So we went over to her house and she was so excited to read the scriptures, and learn more about Christ. And as soon as we mentioned baptism, she knew that's what she wanted.  So we were able to put her on date!!!!! 

THURSDAY: Thus comes the title. There was a tornado in Geneseo! I felt like I was in the Wizard of Oz. Luckily we were in a different town. So on our way home we were able to stop and help a member which was awesome!  Lot's of trees down.

FRIDAY:

We were able to have a awesome lesson with one of our members, Sister Hall. And we were able to have a great lesson with one of our friends on Date for baptism! 

SATURDAY:

So, Miracles abound here in Geneseo. We had set up a hiking lesson with one of our members and their friends. We stopped at a good spot and started trying to teach the restoration. The friend kept on saying he knew everything we were teaching. Then towards the end he mentioned Baptism! We put him on Date for two weeks away!! And according to his brother who has been on a mission... he is what we call golden., Or Elect in our case.

SUNDAY: We had three friends to church!! All of which were on Date. The Lord works in faith building ways. Also, funny story:  while we were knocking, we knocked this one door and they didn't answer at first so we were about ready go to the next door. She opened the door but to go to work and not in answer to our knock. So we accidentally scared her.  But we were able to give her a Book of Mormon and our number.
