May 9, 2022 - Peace Pagoda

Hello everyone.

TUESDAY:
We went to something called stone soup in our ward. Where someone cooks a meal from extra food in our serving area. It was pretty good and we had two of our friends come! We were able to give a church tour to one and fit both for baptism!
WEDNESDAY:
Once a week our district gathers together to talk about our friends and do role plays. Ours is Wednesday. This week the Elders brought a huge box of candy, mostly KitKats for some reason.
THURSDAY:
This week while we were knocking doors there was one house that had their windows open. As we walked up we heard someone yell. "It's the church people!" We knocked and they opened the door and said their mom was gone. So we left and heard "it worked!".
FRIDAY:
We had a mission wide training and our service was terrible.😕 As a portion of the training we were sent into break out rooms where one companionship role played and the other was roleplayed too. We were the ones role-played too. So my companion loved Jesus and I was an atheist from Ireland. But our service died so we couldn't get into the roleplay. I was just slightly disappointed about that. Plus the elders seemed pretty prepared so we felt bad the roleplay was cut short.
SATURDAY:
We were able to go to Women's Conference if we brought a friend! Sadly the friend canceled but we were already there so we stayed. ðŸ¥². And it was very fun, we also found someone we could refer to Elders in a different area which was fun.
SUNDAY: Happy Mothers Day! We had a family home evening with the ward. There were 3 people there. But it was still fun and we had a good lesson. I also got to call my mom which was awesome!
MONDAY: I wrote this. We also went to a Peace Pagoda which is a Buddhist Temple. It was soo pretty and peaceful.  (Pictures are attached of the Peace Pagoda and women's conference).

Thanks for all your prayers!
Love,
Sister Martin
