April 25, 2022 - Cows, Moose and Vermont

 Hello everyone!

I know they called me to New York but my mission base is currently in Bennington, Vermont . Right by the New York border.

SATURDAY:

Normal day of classes at the MTC

SUNDAY:

We had church.

MONDAY:

The Elders headed out, which was sad 😔.  The other sisters and I spent some time packing, and shopping. As well as exploring the campus a little more.

TUESDAY:

I flew out along with two other sisters from my district😅. The flights were pretty good and I actually didn't feel much jet lag. They also had us newbies knocking on doors right after the airport. Which was interesting.😬

WEDNESDAY:

I meet my trainer at a church. Her name is Sister Powell. It was awesome and my trainer is a great teacher! My first area is Vermont/New York. It's huge! We have places that are an hour away from our apartment within our area. We also gave out a Book of Mormon!

FRIDAY:

We traveled to Manchester and did some knocking. We also did some knocking near our apartment. We found a very sweet woman named Jen. We were able to give her a Book of Mormon.

SATURDAY:

We had lessons with multiple members and friends. It was awesome! Most everyone here is very sweet.

SUNDAY:

We went to sacrament. I played in church for the first time in forever. (Unwittingly added frozen lyric.😂) We also met a very sweet girl who seemed so ready for the gospel. So we gave her a Book of Mormon. Hopefully she reads it! We gave out a second Book of Morman as well.

MONDAY:

P-DAY we did General housekeeping, wrote emails, and contacted our families. They have weird decorations with cows/moose on some of their buildings. And big chairs in their fields. Pics are below, sorry some of them aren't that great.

Love,

Sister Martin
