Planks, Travel, Music - March 13, 2023

Hello Family and Friends,

                                                                            Exchanges!

So we got notified Monday evening that we were going to be doing a music piece at Zone conference, on Wednesday. 🥳😱 which I've been wanting to do but having no prep time was so stressful!

TUESDAY:
We played pickleball with one of our members and her friend. I am not very good but I'm improving. And it's a lot of fun! We also had a great lesson about sharing the gospel with one of our members! Which was amazing! We also set up a return appointment with a family! And we did music practice when we could!

Wednesday:
Zone conference, the day we had been preparing for (for 1 day and 1 evening). 1st they opened up member meals in our mission! And we did a plank contest, I did not last last very long. But we had a Sister who held a plank for about 9 minutes, and beat all the other missionaries!  And then our musical number... I was so nervous. It was I Know That my Redeemer Lives, and I was doing the piano. But soon as I started playing all the nervousness slowly disappeared so I was very grateful for God's help there.

FRIDAY:
We had service and met with Cynthia! She is so amazing! So she's been asking for pamphlets and apparently she gives them to her family. She purposely left a Book of Mormon at someone's house, "accidentally," So she is doing so amazing at sharing what she's learning! And when we mentioned that there was a living prophet on the earth, and apostles, she was like, no way! And she is so excited to listen to him! We also had a good lesson about Ammon with one of our members!

SATURDAY:
Was really fun. I went on an exchange to Owego again. While there we had a meal with some members and less active members and there was a church invitation exchanged! We made cookies! We also helped a returning member to work on her family history which she loved! And she was so amazed there was history already in!

Random story, and kinda awkward: We knocked someone's house  and they had a really cool frozen bush under their front window.  I was staring at it because it was so cool.  I looked up, not trying to "look in," and when I did I met eyes with someone through their window. They were sitting on their couch.  No one came to the door so it was a little bit awkward... but we left a card. Hopefully it will bless their lives!

With someone else, we had a long lesson about travel and the Plan of Salvation and how it related to her family, so it was very good.

It's so amazing how God is in every detail of our lives how he directs and guides us so we can find those we truly need to find! For he truly does live to help each of us!
