Service and Fences - March 6, 2023

Happy Monday!

 MONDAY:

We got lots of snow! Sadly, no pictures but it was fun! Though it was gone in two days. I've been looking forward to New York's snowy winters, but Utah has had more snow than we have!

TUESDAY:
We had some really good lessons. One was with our new friend Matthew. We taught the Restoration and he seemed mindblown. We also visited with our recent convert Sandi, and we had planned a lesson but she needed technological help so we did that instead. Mmostly my companion. I have learned on my mission that technology and I get along less then I thought. 😅 We then met with our most progressing friend, Lisa. And within the lesson we brought up baptism and explained the plan of salvation. She loved the plan of salvation,  but when we talked about baptism she was like, I think that's the direction I need to go! So she is praying about a baptism date! And had been coming to church!🥳 

WEDNESDAY:
Well we did some service for these people from Maryland! They have land up here and so asked us to help dismantle their fence and move some things around. They were so nice, it was a fun  service and they took us out to dinner after, so it was good. And then we went to play volleyball with the youth, and since I had already changed twice, just decided to play in a dress!😡😅😂 Explanation: We had just come to the activity and there were 2 different sets of youth; those who wanted to play volleyball, and those who wanted to watch Elder Gongs devotional. We were told that everyone was watching the devotional so we changed into our dresses, then realized there were still those playing volleyball. So we did both. While my companion changed I didn't care enough, to so I played in a dress.

FRIDAY:
So we met with Cynthia again and she is still loving The Book of Mormon, apparently she has also found our church website (Hopefully the right one) and has decided to do a Facebook series on what she is learning, hopefully it goes well! But she is so excited about it and has been taking lots of notes! And we had another lesson with our friend Dawn!

SATURDAY:
We had a good lesson with some of our members about sharing the gospel! And we watched a portion of the restoration movie with one of out other members, the Magees, it was really good! And hearing their testimonies was amazing! Then we had one of our friends bail, we were going to meet at Dunkin Doughnuts and our member was already there but it's okay, we were able to reschedule! We also had a lesson with one of our members about goals!

SUNDAY:
We had church! And some good lessons throughout the day with members!

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
