July 18, 2022 - What is New York?

Hello everyone


MONDAY: We went on a district hike. I skipped rocks for the first time in my life (I think) not very far or anything but...🥳
We also had this awesome lesson with a cute family in our ward. And they owned a lizard. I held during most of the lesson.

TUESDAY:
So we do service Tuesday for a food pantry! (We got to clean eggs.) and there are a lot of different people going in and out. But there is one lady who is a regular worker there. Later that afternoon we went knocking. And we knocked her house! It was a unexpected event.  

THURSDAY:
So Thursday we had been doing lots of knocking but we hadn't found anybody. Until we saw this man talking to someone in a truck. So we waved and said hi. He looked at us and said (something like) "hi ya'll proselytizing? I be with you in three minutes" so we waited and we had the best conversation with this man! Gave him a Book of Mormon and it was awesome!

FRIDAY:
So we have this awesome older man in a nursing who we go and visit! His name is Brother Wilkinson and he is soo sweet! So we got to have a great lesson about how we can share God's light. Once we were finished one of his aids came in to help clean his room. Brother Wilkinson invited him to join our next lesson! And the aid seemed willing which was awesome.
Also one of our presidency members asked us to give a talk which was... sudden

SATURDAY:
We did some knocking and.... we got two return appointments! And both people seem so nice and we are so excited to teach them!

SUNDAY:
I gave my talk.😅🤢🤗
It seemed to go well and one of our friends came to church, whom we have only officially talked to once. It was awesome he said he enjoyed church in general. We were also able to have our bishop give one of our other friends, Tricia a blessing which was such a spiritual thing to be a part of.

MONDAY:
Wrote this. Got transfer news. Me and one of my companion is staying and Sister Coles (on the right) is leaving.

I am soo thankful for all the Love and support everyone has given me. Thank you soo much! Love you.❤❤❤

P.S. I don't have many pictures this week, sorry.

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Baptism and everything! - June 5, 2023

Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
