June 13, 2022 - Drowning in New York

I'm here in New York drowing! 





Just kidding! But it has been raining buckets here soo, yeah.

TUESDAY:
We had a bunch of goodbye lessons since we're leaving. Which was sad and very busy.

WEDNESDAY:
Transfers! I am now in a trio which is so much fun! We also got to attend the last part of a YW activity which was awesome! And apparently I am suddenly good at remembering names. 🤔😃 otherwise much of the day was traveling.

THURSDAY:
We were able to have an awesome lesson with a recent convert, Sister Jackson. She had some awesome questions and we got into some deep doctrine! We were able to meet two awesome people ad their families who were so cute!

FRIDAY:
Miracle. So we were out knocking some people we had one last person we were going to knock before going home. So we knocked it and she wasn't home. Turns out she had just pulled and was talking to the other person we were trying to find. And we were able to set up a appointment with both of them which was awesome!

SATURDAY:
So we went knocking in this crazy rainstorm. And on one of the houses we knocked there was a tank? (Or whatever you call them) with a live snake! (I thought it was alive?) 

SUNDAY:
We saw a rainbow! We went to knock this one door and soon as the last who answered saw our tags she gestured no and closed the door. But we'll keep trying. 

One of our members is trying to get rid of some of her food. So she brought us a whole bag of boxed noodles. I'm set for the rest of my mission! Jk but it was a lot of noodles.

MONDAY: We went on a hike which was awesome! I wrote this. And we cleaned.

  TUESDAY: We had Zone Conference day #1. Elder Johnson of the seventy came which was cool.  There are also three Martin's in our mission, none related to each other. I also had exchanges. WEDNESDAY : Our catch up day. We had a lot of lessons! THURSDAY : Day #3 of zone conference. Another exchange. Within the exchange I got to do my first service on the mission  and I started a phone call in Spanish. Which was cool. FRIDAY : We had lessons and some finding. SATURDAY: It was soo hot. We got up to like 89sh. I was walking up a set of stairs and a huge bee stopped right in front  of my forehead before I stepped forward.   luckily I saw and stopped but I almost got stung by a bee.  We also has a storm Saturday evening., and the rain came on so fast it was bizarre.  I'm still trying to decide how I like the weather here, but I guess spring is unpredictable everywhere. Hello beautiful people,                                                        Sister Prall and I found some beautiful Daisies. MONDAY: We had an awesome lesson with one of our friends Chris! We talked about Jesus Christ and why he had to come!  And we called random people at the church which was a bit strange but good! TUESDAY: So we had a slightly distracted lesson with our new friend Bryan. (Not the recent convert) we tried talking about prophets which went well but he kept on going on tangents about false prophets and some other tangents. And pulling him back to the fact that there is a true prophet today was fun. But we think we got the point across! Problems are Like a Washing Machine - August 7, 2023

Hello, Wonderful Week!  Hope it was for you too! TUESDAY: Well Tuesday we had a lot of lessons planned, then they all fell through so instead we did a lot of finding. We stopped by this one house and they were just letting their dogs out so we got to pet two of their dogs who were very nice! One of them stayed a boy further back and made us a bit nervous but the owner was there so it was fine! We ended up having a good conversation with her though she wasn't interested. WEDNESDAY: We met with Sister Wilkinson! And when we went we thought it would just be Sister Wilkinson, then Autumn joined us and we just read to them from The Book of Mormon together! It was awesome! And Autumn was involved and commenting which she hasn't been the past few times we've gone!  We then showed up for youth night but it ended being somewhere else so we talked to the adults instead which was good!
